The WestHouse Hotel | NYC
A couple blocks south of Central Park's sprawling green pastures stands The WestHouse Hotel—one of my favorite accommodations in the city. Stepping through the revolving door in the lobby, it's clear the hotel is an interior design lover's dream. The velvet couches and stone fireplace in the first floor's urban lodge, appropriately called "The Den", will have you feeling at home from the get-go. Upstairs, tufted leather headboards and contemporary marble finishes in each room exemplify the kind of subtle, intricate attention to detail that makes staying here so special.
One the best perks at WestHouse is Hours of Indulgence—a presentation of light fare along with beer, wine and champagne at The Terrace on the 23rd floor. It's the perfect place to take in the city's breathtaking sunset in preparation for the night ahead. The Terrace also hosts breakfast every morning where you'll find pastries, bagels, lox and, more importantly, an espresso machine to get you properly caffeinated before the day's adventures. I always try to keep up with my workout routine while I'm on the road, and there's nothing better than rolling out of bed and heading down to the 3rd floor fitness center where free weights, machines and plenty of treadmills will keep you feeling fit and fresh throughout your stay.
