After only a week using the toothbrush I'm already noticing a whiter smile. Below are my five favorite features of the DiamondClean Smart and a few tips and tricks to use when you have your own.
Award-winning design
The first thing that stands out about the toothbrush is its clean, minimal design. Slim, easy to use and offered in a subtle lunar blue colorway, aesthetically it's a welcome addition to any bathroom setup. But there's also a lot of brain packed in this beauty.

Thanks to a Bluetooth connection with the Sonicare app on your smartphone, the DiamondClean creates a virtual model of your mouth and can track your brushing. Location sensors inside the toothbrush detect exactly where you've brushed and show you in real time which spots may need a little more work, resulting in a more even clean throughout your mouth.
smart charging
Arguably my favorite feature of the DiamondClean Smart is its smart charging capabilities. To charge, all you need to do is place it in the wireless charging glass included in your package. Doubling as a rinsing glass, this feature stylishly takes wireless charging to a new level. The charge lasts for two weeks, but if you're a traveler like me you'll love the travel case with a USB connector that plugs directly into your laptop for charging on the road.

The DiamondClean Smart comes with four different types of brush heads (plaque control, gum care, whitening, tongue care) and just by popping one on it knows exactly which one you chose. The toothbrush automatically adjusts to the optimal settings, but you can also customize them while you're brushing. Another nifty feature is that the brush heads know exactly when they need to be replaced, because you have enough things to worry about. Pro tip: don't brush in a scrubbing motion like you would with a regular toothbrush. The DiamondClean works best when you move it slowly from tooth to tooth, letting it do the scrubbing. If you forget, the toothbrush's sensor knows when you're trying to scrub and will politely request that you let it do the hard work.

As if the DiamondClean couldn't get any smarter, it also knows when you're brushing too hard—and has the alert to prove it. The instant it feels too much pressure, the DiamondClean starts gently pulsating and the light ring at the base of the toothbrush starts flashing to let you know you're trying too hard. Not only does this ensure the longevity of your toothbrush, but it protects your enamel from unwanted damage as well.
