How to Wear a White Dinner Jacket

To ring in 2020, I had the chance to celebrate at Gurney’s New Year’s Eve Party, which called for Gatsby-themed attire. Given the nautical setting, the first thing that came to mind was a white dinner jacket. While traditionally an option for warm months or climes, the white dinner jacket has seen a year-round revival thanks to the more relaxed black tie dress codes of recent years.
When it came to finding the perfect piece for the occasion, Haspel had just what I was looking for. Featuring a satin shawl collar, jetted pockets and satin covered buttons, the “Royale” Dinner Jacket has all the classic elements of a tuxedo, but its textured cotton fabric is anything but traditional. Lightweight and imbued with subtle grooves, the textured cotton offers a character-filled, if slightly more casual, alternative to a more classic cream dinner jacket.
